Welcome and thank you for visiting!
BRKC is an AKC all-breed club serving the greater Baton Rouge area. The club, established in 1942, has a long history. In 2012, members reorganized under new leadership ushering in a diverse and dedicated group of fanciers who care not only for their dogs but for the greater canine community.
To advance the enjoyment and sport of purebred dogs, members meet monthly, host educational lectures, support multiple community and humane initiatives, hold shows at the Jambalaya 5-day all-breed cluster, work with newcomers to the sport of showing dogs, advocate on behalf of dogs and dog owners, and educate all ages on responsible ownership. Combined, club members represent a wealth of experience from conformation showing and handling to training and performance sports. Members are happy to help others get in the ring, field, or connected with an breed of dog best suited to their needs and interests.
The public is warmly invited to learn more about BRKC. It’s easy! Browse this site, email, like us on FaceBook, or better yet, attend a meeting. We welcome all dedicated dog owners to join us in the rewarding experience that AKC purebred dog ownership involves.
